purchased this original Scrambler from the father of the original owner who bought it new at Bob and Kip’s Schwinn shop of Depere WI. The paint is Schwinn Chestnut Brown which shows scattered chips and scratches but is still very presentable, some wear to the graphics as well. The chrome is overall pretty decent, no flaking and should clean up quite nicely. The Lester made “Magalloy” rims are in very good condition, no cracks or anything else funky going on.
The grips show wear, but are original to the bike. It still sports the original tires, and they should be replaced if the bike is going to be ridden, the gum sidewalls have hardened. The Schwinn BMX seat is original and shows wear through at the nose of the seat.
